Day: 01
Pick up fro Jakarta at 5 am ,transfer to Carita beach by private car ,arrived in carita and great meet with operator then breakfast and short brief , leave from Carita beach at 09:00 and cruise straight to the famous active Krakatau Volcano, we will see the remains of the biggest explosion ever recorded in history (1883). The journey will take approximately one and half hours, arrived then snorkeling activity, of Anak Krakatau for set up the tent, Swimming is possible and lunch will be served at approximately 13:00, free program. Dinner will be served at 19:00
Day: 02
After breakfast around 08:00 we will visit legon cabe (North Side) Old Krakatau for snorkeling activity, after that cruise to Kalianda harbour just 50 minutes ,as arrived in Harbour continued by private car to Bandar Lampung [ capital of Lampung province ]. and transfer direct to The Lodge for about 2,5 hours-drive. Depend on your arrival time, after dinner, your guide will take you on his of his exciting night walks around the village, where hopefully you will see Sunda slow loris, night bird and mammals.
DAY 03 The River Boat and The Sumatran Elephant
After breakfast, you will drive slowly through the Park to Way Kanan stopping to see and hear the Siomang Gibbons calling. You will then take a boat to Kalibiru. Then you will proceed on a fascinating walk either to a game viewing platform or to Rawa Gajah, a swamp area where often Elephants are seen. Depending on the season, this area is grassland or under waist deep water.After lunch your guide will take you to the government managed Elephant Training Centre where you will meet your mahout, learn about his job, and if you wish for a ride on an elephant in the park. You should take some sugar cane from Satwa (grown in the gardens) for your elephant; another possibility is to visit the ERU ( Elephant Respond Unit ) for a more in depth look at protecting elephants and stopping crop damage. Back slowly and who knows what you may see on the river on return, hopefully primates, different bird species, deer and maybe elephants. A great days wildlife experience.
DAY 04 Birding, Siomang Gibbons – Transfer out
Depend on your flight departure time, take an early bird walk with Harry (our experienced bird guide) and also see the village activities or take a walk to hear the Siamang Gibbons with one of the Park Rangers to see and hear the haunting calls of the Siomang Gibbons returning to the Lodge for a well earned breakfast. After breakfast then you will transfer back to airport.or by ferry to Bakauheni harbour and across to MERAK and buy bus to Jakarta
